Informed Delivery, a consumer-facing feature, enhances the value of physical mail by creating an additional touchpoint via digital content.

Here’s how it works:

Informed Delivery sends its subscribers images of the exterior of mailpieces and tracking links for packages that are soon-to-arrive in their mailboxes. Subscribers view these consolidated messages via email, mobile app, or online dashboard.

When you integrate an additional digital campaign element called a “ride-along image” (including a  Call to Action and target URL) into this notification preview, you earn the discount.

Runs: Aug. 1 – Dec. 31, 2024 (Registration begins June 15, 2024)

Applies to: Marketing Mail (Standard), including Nonprofit. Periodicals Class is not eligible.

What you will need for approval:

  1. A “representative image”
    1. Static image of your mailpiece (your issue cover)
    2. JPEG (.jpg) format
    3. Full color image (RGB color code; not CMYK)
    4. Size: 780 pixels max width by 500 pixels max height (pixels) landscape orientation OR 350 pixels max width by 500 pixels max height (pixels) portrait orientation
    5. Maximum file size 200kb
  1. A “ride-along image”
    1. Directly relates to the mailpiece
    2. JPEG (.jpg) format
    3. Full color
    4. Size: 300 pixels wide by 200 pixels high
    5. Maximum file size: 200 KB
    6. Includes a call-to-action, clear and compelling
    7. Provide URL to link from image to a live webpage with related content

Please note that the 2025 discount for Informed Delivery will shrink to 1%, so now’s your chance to earn the full 4%.
