The 2026 calendar of promotions is now available, and it’s not too early to start planning. There will be five Primary promotions and two Add-On promotions. Three of the five promotions are applicable to magazine/catalog publishers mailing by Marketing Mail Class.

Primary:
(can use one at a time)

  • Integrated Technology: Incorporate mobile shopping and other technologies (e.g., QR Codes) into your mail pieces to engage readers.
  • Tactile, Sensory & Interactive: Drive engagement by using print innovations in paper, inks, interactive elements, and finishing techniques.
  • Catalog Insights: Provides a 10% discount for qualifying catalogs, which must be at least twelve pages, bound, include a list of products or services offered, and allow an order to be placed.

Add-On:
(can use one or both along with a primary)

  • Informed Delivery: Enhance the value of physical mail pieces by creating an additional touchpoint via digital content.
  • Sustainability: Demonstrate that paper used for the eligible mail pieces is responsibly sourced/sustainably produced and bears certification from a recognized entity.

The USPS is boosting the discount rate for primary promotions from 3-4% in 2025 to 5% in 2026. The exception is the Catalog Insights promotion, which will yield a whopping 10% discount (learn more below).

Game Plan

If you plan for 2026 wisely, you can save 7% on your complete mailing(s) ALL YEAR LONG by first combining Tactile, Sensory & Interactive (primary) with both Informed Delivery and Sustainability (add-on) for Jan-June, and then combining Integrated Technology with Informed Delivery and Sustainability for July-Dec. This is just one way to maximize your savings.
